See now those look way to tacky IMO, but to each his own.  I think the chrome ones would look good with the blue if you have chrome rims and badging.

FYI, I was able to still get in on this. Got mine for $280 shipped and should see them Wednesday.

Cool Paul, which color did you get?  Show us some pictures once you get them on!
 
Also I updated the first post to reflect the deal information provided by Matrix Racing so that no one needs to dig through 8 pages to find it.

I got the black ones too, as they will go with my silver Monte the best. I'm glad I didn't buy these (they were on my list for a while)...

OK, got them today and installed them as soon as I got home. These things kick a$$!. One word of advice though: if you modified your tail lights like I did to have all four bulbs light up as tail lights, you will have to undo that mod. Forgetting I had done that, I blew the rear tail light fuse as soon as I turned them on. You have 2 options: either cut the wire that powers the tail light (for the upper socket only), or wire the OE socket back in. I went and tossed mine, and couldn't find any at 3 of my local parts stores, so I cut mine until I find the correct sockets. Here's some cell phone pics of the tail lights and my HID's.

I absolutely love the clean look of the back of your car Paul. The no emblems, stickers, etc really make her look nice! Where in IL are ya from?

I see that matrixracing just came out with a new set.  "Platinum smoke"  Are they rumored to be coming out with anything else new anytime soon?  I would like to know before I buy a set.

Debadging was one of the best things I could have done. With no trunk lock cylinder, it really helped clean up the rear of the car. As far as the lights go, they're a great addition but I'm trying to get Matrix to take them back. I want the new Platinum Smoke ones instead!!!

Looks awesome Paul!  Those Platinum Smoke ones sure are different.  Those would look nice on a blue or white monte i think.

maybe i just never noticed it until now, but did matrixracing always make a "crystal clear" tail light or is that the same as chrome?  i found another site with different pictures and the crysal clear doesnt look chrome at all.  matrixracing labels the chrome as crystal clear on their website, but the picture is still of a chrome tail light.  also on ebay they still call it chrome.

Hey those new L.E.D. lights look awesome!
 I've been hoping for something different to come out for the 6th gen Monte's and to replace the older chrome l.e.d unit's we have on ours.
I purchased them before they came out with any other options cause the wife liked them.
 
Was hoping for the Carbon Fiber housing but black will do.Smoked are nice too!
Is that group buy still good from Matrix? Or is it over?
 I didn't get a chance to go through all 9 pages here before I head to work.

03BlueMonte, I don't know, the picture you posted makes them look white, while the martix racing chrome pictures definitley look chrome.  If you are interested I would just call Matrix Racing and ask.

What did you end up getting Jim?  Pics?

I went with the Bermuda Black LED set as I wanted to stay away from the chrome as had the older LED set that was chrome as at the time, Was the only option,They came out with a Gun metal and Black after I had already bought the chrome units.
I love these lights though!
Now if someone would only make some BMW style Halo headlights for the Monte!
