Hi Lewis, and members,

I am waiting for a reply from my previous correspondence
to Production Management at General Motors.
(Read previous above posts)
When, and `if they respond, I will pursue model breakdown
with options.
I will also attempt to get a breakdown on limited/special
edition Monte Carlo's.
I know that General Motors has this information, but
I don't know if they will take the time to share it with
their consumers ?
Time will tell.....
I will keep the MCF informed on all information received,
reference this topic.

Space, can you get the info like - how many SS's were made, in Laser Blue, with a sunroof, with my same options, etc etc..  ???

I'm curious to see how many of my same exact car were made/sold....

Hi, Mr. Space. I will see what I can get on the Monte Carlos. When we report production numbers we don't show the breakdown in the models....we just show an overall Monte Carlo production. Also, how far back are you looking to go on the numbers?

Well, if they'd have bothered to advertise the '07 Montes (even one TV commerical is better then ZERO) maybe sales wouldn't have dropped off?

Also the words out the Monte is gone again. This would prompt only the die hard Monte owners to buy one while the average joe shmo would buy an Acura.

The only Billboard sign that I have seen with a Monte is up by bedford pa on rt 99 heading to Altoona.
Nascar was behind the push for letting the Monte die. They want everthing 4 doors. That way no one can claim Chevy has the advantage. When I got my 06 LTZ (May of 06) you could not even find a brochure of the Monte from the dealer. I had to find it on line

That would explain why I see the same Montes over and over again on my daily journeys.

Funny Story When I had my Grey Silverish 06 LT. A lady in my work building got a 06 LS in the same color so you couldn't really tell them apart. Well I dont think she knew someone else had the same car. So I pull back into the parking lot after lunch, same time she is walking out. I park in a spot and proceed to walk towards the building. Well she is standing there at the building door with this look of terror on her face. As i get near her she says with a cracking voice, "Someone stole my Car" while looking at me like I am about to mug her or something.  I realize what is going so I start laughing and point to her where her car is parked. A Suburban was blocking the view to her car.
The look on her face was priceless.
She got a laugh out of it afterwards.

Okay, I don't get it.  I was under the impression that the Nascar racecars are all made by the same company regardless of which name is on the car.  I was also under the impression the racecar bodies are all exactly the same shape and size (and doorless), and any differences (headlights, taillights, etc.) are simulated with stickers.  Please correct me on this.
