If you don't want it, I'd take it.  But can't afford the 25 grand asking price.
This is an ultra rare car we're talking about.  Only 25 made.  And it's actually autographed by Dale himself, not just a sticker.  The person who buys this is not buying it for the performance.  They're buying it for the collectibility.  I could be wrong, but I think the fact there were only 25 made, and the unfortunate fact that Dale is no longer with us, this 95 Dale Earnhardt edition is probably more valuable than 2004 version.  Collectibility wise.

I wonder how many of these there are left out of the original 25.  Also wonder how many had the sig on the glove box accidentally washed off.

Mod `Taz,
I agree with your posts, and the points you made about
this awesome Monte Carlo.
If I were a collector, and had the funds, I think that
this rare Z34
would be a great addition to a collection.

Sure personally, I'd rather spend $25K (if I had `it: ), on a
07SS.  But it would be my dailey driver, & not a collectable.

I would have a difficult time just having a Monte for show only.
I would have to drive `it, and enjoy it.
Peace/Out

If I were rich and had 25 grande laying around, it'd be an awesome addition to my Earnhardt collection, but I'll have to pass since I'm not :(

Space and Becky, I'm with ya on this one.
As it is, my Dale Jr edition is my daily driver.  I kept all my cars in the best condition, but I'm trying extra hard to keep this one the best I can.  Because it's a collector's edition.  But I believe the car was made to be driven.  If I want to sit and stare at it, I'd buy the scale model.  (Which I did, by the way).

I'm not saying the car's not authentic...... but prove it to me.

I know there were mid-90s Dale edition Montes. Or were they pace cars?

Anyways, for the $25k asking price I think the seller's going to be setting on the car a long time. Just my $0.02 worth.

Never heard of those 25.  I'm also not going to say it is a forged name really either, but could hint that way.  They should have put a picture of the certificate on there.

I liked one of the other cars listed though.

1997 Monte with a 737ci in it!!!!

Oh, I'd definitely want to some kind of certification if I were buying.

Taz, I know what you mean about trying to keep it in good shape and still drive it. I'm lucky in that way since I don't have to drive to work, so mine is more of an occassional driver - store runs, trips, etc. And I've lost count on the scale models. Have Jr.'s Shoutout and Duel winners pre-ordered.

That explains a lot.  It wasn't necessarily a factory option.  It was a limited edtion of Monte's customized by Dale Earnhardt's dealership.

Being new to this site, I thought I would add my input to the conversation being I own a 1998 Dale Earnhardt Signature Series Z.  They are all numbered with a plaque on the inside from Dale Earnhardt Chevy in Newton NC each signed by Dale, they made 25 each year turning a stock Monte Carlo Z to a custom design at Earnhart Chevy and each year brought different designs...  Mine means more to me being it was the same year he finally won the Daytona 500..  It has 10,557 miles and is in brand new condition...  However I could never bring myself to sell it...

While I only drive mine on sunny days, its performance is spectacular

Hi Amy!

Thanks for posting pics of your extremely rare 98 Earnhardt Monte.

I really like the design of yours.  Looks terrific!

I would only drive it in good weather also.  The 6th gen signature series Monte's are great.  But they were designed by the factory.  The fact that Dale himself had a hand in personally designing your custom Monte makes it extra special.  That's something all the 5th gen enthusiasts can be proud of.

Congrats on finding such a special car.  I hope it gives you many years of pride, happiness and driving pleasure.

Thanks again for sharing!
