Hello all! Another new guy! My wife wasn't too happy with her '04 Kia Sorento (SUV) and started looking on-line at cars. When she saw the Monte Carlos, that was all it took. Two days ago, she found a silver '07 LS with 20k miles and it followed us home. It's bone stock but maybe I can sneak in a few upgrades over time. We'll see.
I enjoy lurking in automotive forums to learn everything I can about the vehicles I have. It looks like this group will be a good one from which to learn! OK, back to lurking.

Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome! Her car is Metallic Silverstone (silver to me

) with a black / charcoal grey interior. I think it was a fleet or rental car as it's not really decked out like some I've seen. It is plenty enough loaded for her though and that's the most important thing.
So far she's very excited about it and enjoys driving it. I'm not sure it'll get very good gas mileage though; her right foot seems much too heavy...
I'm happy to hear the good word on the 3.5L engine. I don't know much about the newer breed of engines but I'm looking forward to learning what I can!
Thanks again!
Welcome to the Monte Carlo Forum!
The '07 looks terrific in metallic silver. Especially in sunlight. The metallic really pops.
I haven't seen many complaints or problems with the 3.5L engine. I have read a couple disappointments with it's power, but these were from people who were comparing it to a V8 engine. Which is unfair really.
Anything that was left out of your car due to it being a fleet/rental vehicle can always be added later as the need (and funds) arise. Besides, it gives you something to look forward to.
