Nice. Just what we needed. And actually I do have a question for you. Is the MAF sensor the same on v-6 models as it is for the V8 on 06-7 models? Im thinking of upgrading the intake on the car to the K&N FIPK, but they only have a model out for the v8. If the sensors are the same, it should cross over with little modification.

The emblem for the steering wheel SHOULD be able to be purchased seperately since it's just a sticker/stick on emblem.

SHOULD I JUST SEE IF I CAN BUY ONE FROM THE DEALERSHIP?

I would, and at least you'll know if you can get one without buying the whole steering wheel.

Or at least the AirBag unit.

If you figure out that it is a sticker that can just be pulled out, I have a friend that will make "Autobot" stickers that you can put on your center wheel.

I'll check into the center piece for your steering wheel tommorow.
as for the MAF. it's the same on both motors (GM part number 15911983) for both 2006 and 2007 models. so you should be good. if you still have warranty check into the dealership to make sure it won't affect it. i've heard rumors that GM might be doing it.

I'd see if you can get the stock tube from the MAF to the Throttle body off of the 5.3 V8 SS's, might help with the spacing and length of the intake some.
Problem is findin a wrecked one.

I have one in the local area that had a good rollover, looks like the difference in lenght is about 3/4".. I think I can stretch it or add a hose adaptor to fit. I just would like to know if the size of the tubing is the same.. Anyone measure thier TB lately?
Tis a shame tho.. I wish I could have gotten the spoiler and engine out of it. I had a deposit on the v8 and tranny, but in the rollover the engine was damaged.

...and hopefully the engine dressing. I like the way the engines look all shiny when they are on the lot for sale.

YIPES!!! I have had no luck with Armor All... It looks good for awhile but has always dried out everyones dash or seats they put them on.
I contribute the PO using AmorAll on the dash of my g/f's '81 Monte and ruining it.
I had to replace the whole dash. Happened to find a real nice one in the right color in a '79 Malibu Wagon that went right in her car.

It's nothing but protect-all for me now. Carnuaba and uv protection... can't go wrong... Just wonder how much of the stuff to use, lol, it's thick in those pump spray bottles. Also use it in winter on the door seals... no more frozen-door.
Allthough I heard di-electric is good for that as well, just haven't tried it. Plus it's kinda pricey to use one something that would require that much.

k i'm not sure on the engine "dressing" but the foaming engine cleaner is PN 992878
As far as the emblem goes you'd be better off searching a wrecker and removing it from a wrecked car cuz they don't sell it as a seperate part so you'd have to buy the whole airbag unit.

Thanks, I'll try to search for the post that had the dressing number.

k the strut tower brace. only one i could find in the GMPP catalogue was 12498648 but it states for 2000-2005 w body monte carlo/impala so not sure if it'll fit your ride. it also had both front and rear part numbers. i looked at the rear one (we have one in stock) and it isn't the same color or shape as the one in your picture.
hope this helps.
