well im looking to get my exhaust done soon. (on my 2000 3.4)
my original plan was to cut out the resonator and put in a straight pipe, and then cut out the muffler and put in a summit racing glasspack.. and then a tip. & my friend was going to do all of this because it wouldnt be too hard.

but now im thinking about cutting out the resonator, u-bend, and cat (lol im gonna sell the cat too ;) and putting a straight pipe in place of that... but if i do this ill take it to a shop to have them weld in the new o2 sensor.
buttt i have a question.. if i take out the cat, is it going to be throwing a code? and will i be able to clear it?
thanks in advance.

yes it will and no u wont, plus its illegal and pollutes the air. just throw on a high flow cat and everything will be in order

ahh dang. haha im not too worried about the illegal part though... the problem is, is that i dont want to spend that much more for a high flow cat.

but thanks...

You could get a magnaflow hi flo cat for $80 on any website.  Id rather pay 80 now rather that a big ticket later, plus your car wouldent pass emmisions testing, and would fail your inspection every time.

yeah, i really want to do that. lol but the problem is my "financial status" isnt well enough to pay $80 for a high flow cat. thats one of the reasons why im spending about 20 bucks for the glasspack.... its gonna be a cheap exhaust build, but im sure itll sound decent enough for the money spent.
