my uncle has bought a bunch of stuff from them and very happy with the service...its just stuff that we can't get for his truck that they have...
he bought a complete woodgrain dash and trim kit for his 2006 f150...and he said the service was great and the shipment was fairly fast...

I dealt with JC Whitney several times over the years, mainly for items I couldn't find elsewhere.I purchased a set of rear window louvers for a Chevy Monza hatchback years ago and they fit great and looked good.I also used to have a 1965 Dodge Dart GT,which I ordered some parts for,and they always were OK.Their shipping charges used to be based on the dollar amount of the order(I don't know if that changed) so if your order was up to $100 dolars lets say, shipping was a given amount. So if you only had an order for $75,you still paid the same shipping as if your order was $100.So what I would do is find some other items to hit the$100 mark, and it was like getting free shipping on the extra items.Maybe they planned it this way to sell more stuff, but I can always find something I can use.I can go to Auto Zone for a quart of oil and wind up coming home with $50 worth of stuff.
I can tell you they (J.C. Whitney) is better then they used to be.
I heard of guys ordering stuff, they'd cash the sent in check but neve send the merchandise. This was years ago.
Doesn't Advanced Auto own them now?

JC Whitney, is the Harbor Freight of automobiles. Your either love them or hate them. I have nothing against both companies.

I've ordered truck and RV stuff from them several times in the past 3 years. Never a problem. All the stuff I ordered was from top name brands that Whitney carries. Be careful of off brand items.

Ive bought a few things off of them. I bought seat upholstry and a headliner for my first truck (88 c1500). It was cheap and good quality. I also bought my seat covers for my monte carlo off jc whitney. I like them as well. I have never had any problems with them. Good company that has been around for quite a while.

`Mike,
Great find, & link.
It does pay to do your homework.
It's so difficult to trust in today's world, & I find
that very sad. : (
That why I really like the Web, and all the search engines.
I don't know how anyone can get bored, `if they
are connected to the web.
Thanks for your contributions/infor.
We Appreciate.

Wow, their reseller rating is really bad!
I Like JC whitney, but I rarely, if EVER purchase anything specifically for my car. Shop supplies, tools, manuals, not car parts.
Nice 22 piece wrench set... like 20$... Floor Jack, two Jackstands, and some collapsable wheel chocks, like 30$ together! (not bad quality honestly, not good, but definitely trustworthy)
Lots of speciality stuff, supplies, and things you just can't find locally.
If you're looking for car-truck specific stuff? maybe a more niche market company might be better, but general shop supplies and tools n stuff, JC whitney is just plain Golden.
