headlights

is there any way to make a 2005 mc headlight look like the 05+ vett lights. like have the paint around the light instead of the mirros or w/e

not sure about this one at all

i have seen this done on cars other than montes..its ALOT of work.

how difficult can this really be? i know that it is hard but i have no earthly idea as to how hard it is.

i need an up close picture of your headlights...

but he is what i have to do with mine...to open them safely without braking them, you have to bake the headlight assembly in an oven...at a certain temperature for so long will lossen the glue that holds it together enough to pull it open, without cracking or melting the plastic...yours may have clips, but i dont know...that is after removing them completey from the car, which, with some cars, isnt very easy...once you have it off the car, and open, youre home free...or not...i have seen quite a few guys paint them, and they look great until they hit some rain at speed which finds the smallest gap in the glue or seal..and gets into the headlight bulb area..which will alsmot always ruin the bulb, and fog the inside of the housing...then, in some cases, the water has gotten heavy and shorted out the headlight system...if it works, i knw that on my car it looks great..but im not willing to mess with mine that much, and put my 150 dollar a piece headlight assembly in the over..lol

Unless it takes an act of god to remove/install the headlight assy, it's simple. I did this mod on my 94 Honda Accord and not only did it come out great, it added so much to the overall look of the car and I didn't have any issues w/water getting inside. I'm and sure the existing adhesive would have been sufficient once I reassembled the headlights, but as an added measure, I ran a bead of silicone around the edge just to be safe. Let me see if I can find some pics for you. The second pic is the same car, it was the day I bought it. As you can see, I put a little money into it.

I was going for the JDM look with my Accord, I had a Mugen rear wing, JDM headlights, JDM corner lenses, JDM front bumper lenses, JDM grill, eh, you get the point
