Guess everyone is entilted to an opinion. My personal preference would not be dubs on an older car in most cases, but if it's done right they sometimes look good. T.I. the rap artist is a good example. His video for the song 24's has quite a few really good looking chevelle's and such on twinkies and bigger. My 75 is rollin deep on 15 inch weld racing wheels, but if I could afford a 06 SS monte for a daily driver (instead of my escort wagon ballin on some bling 16's!) it would definetly be rollin 20's!
Edit: These new things they are calling donk's is a whole nother story!

What is the true definition of a DUB?
I think larger rims look good on certain vehicles, and then on the other hand, some look really silly and over the top of what looks good.
I have 16's now but would like to see 17" and no bigger than 18" on my Monte. Just my personal preference.
Donk's???? What the heck is a Donk?

dub is just a make of rim, and now people are associating it with big a** wheels...dub makes up to a 30" wheel that fits on a hummer only...the h2, look mint!!

I agree, I think big rims on a big vehicle looks good, but I have to draw the line on big rims on our cars, I've seen pictures of 25" on a monte and it just looked like crap...

You'll know one when you see it. They are lifting up cars now (big boy lift kits) to fit 26's and bigger under cars. Look at your local newsstand for the mag called "donks". We already have a few of them in the area here. Guy with a 86 monte ss had 20's and it didn't look too bad. Now it's on 26 inch spinners with about 4 feet of ground clearance! I want to take it out wheeling!!!
edit: look here.

IMO people that put on giaint chrome rims are crazy. Not only are they super expensive, prone to theft, and look bad (IMO) they DECREASE the performance of the vehicle. I don't see why anyone would want to spend money to make their car slower. If I ever got new wheels I would get the lightest ones I could find.

That's what I'm talking about. I saw one guy with a 2003 LS that had 20' spinners on it: chrome on chrome on chrome on chrome. I like the more athletic looking wheels, not just for the montes but any car. I think only larger vehicles like full size SUVs can pull off the large chrome wheels.
Not to knock performance, but "if you're important, people will wait for you."
