opinions on subs

ive got a 1000W monoblock amp... kenwood head unit.. i recently fried my 12inch rockford fosgate p1's and im now starting to think im going to need some subs that are way more powerful..as this is the second pair ive fried (i had memphis also)

my p1's were loud which has me leaning toward rockford fogate p3's.....  after looking at some sites and some local places here in st louis it looks like these are going to run me about $400..

or... i might do these 12" kicker cvr's for $300.. i can get a deal on em for about $260... even though right now money isnt really an issue

just looking for some opinions... im sort of stuck between these 2 options right now

I actually have a set of Pionner in my car and love them!! !
i have  a1000 wat amp fireing to them and they are 1000rms  i have yet to get near blowing them.
they are 12's also.
I will get the info for sure if you want it . but so far i love them!!

is money is NOT an issue go for alpine type r 12s BELIEVE ME!!! After having worked for best buy and hanging out in the install bay, those things KNOCK

I just put my single type s 12 in my trunk tonight and Man I missed it.  I like sq and not DB.

i have two MTX thunder 5500's right now and i love them. MTX has a 7500 series two, and they are LOUD! and affordable. but if you really want to get a good sub. i would buy Kicker L7's. they are one of the best subs i have every came upon. i am currrently saving my money to get me a pair of them. the L7's are Kickers pride and glory! you can get the L7's on ebay for a very good price right now. i highly recommend the L7's. they are amazing! i heard alpine type R's at a competion and i was not satisfied. i thought the bass quality was poor. once i heard the L7's i have never considered another sub in my life. look into them you won't regret it.

alright... so far ive scratched the CVR's off the list... those pioneers sound interesting mickey id like to know more about those too but im definately considering those L7's after hearing em earlier today.. even though id have to get another box those would definately be worth it

check out JBL W10GTis or W12GTi's. They can handle a ton of power, get crazy loud, and are very tight, controlled subs. I personally love em, spent close to 450 for two W10GTi's, well worth it. You can check them out on the web, I havent seen a bad response on them. Make sure your amp can put the wattage out at a 1.5 Ohm load, if you run them parallel, they are dual 6 coils. These subs are the best I have owned so far.

my buddy just bought a pair of L7's 4 ohms and they pound! i am getting a pair of the two ohms myself but each L7 should be powered by its own amp.
so i am buying a kicker ZX750.1 amp it puts out 750 rms x 1 at 2 ohms. they would be so loud they could blow off clothes of women! got that line from the italian job

yeah the L7's are rediculous....  unless i can get some for cheap on ebay ima get the P3's. the shop i mess with is gon give me a deal on em plus i got the box already

rock l7s bro worth tha money... i myself wanna get a hand on atleast a pair of 12s, even though my phoenix golds are more than enough...

on http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ i have found the L7's for $230 each. which is the cheapest i have found yet. that price is not bad at all for the L7's i have found them for   $250-$500. but on http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ they are NEW! not used or refubished!

The W10GTis will wipe the floor with the Kicker L7s, I got mine for 230 apiece. retail over 400. Handle 3000 watts as a 10, DDD makes bass tighter and sharper. only problem is the 6 ohm coils. Have my system at 1.5 ohm load. I have heard both, and along with the proper box and power, the JBLs WILL sound better. But its up to you I guess, Id recommend listening to both.

ROCKFORD FOSGATE HX2, THEY SOUND GREAT AND RUN RMS AT 500 WATTS.  2  12'S IN MY TRAILBLAZER SS MAKE THE WINDOWS MOVE IN AND OUT.
 

If you want to stick with rockford, i would have to say hte HX2's are the way to go.  Now if you got some money go for a 13.5 inch W7.  A guy has one in his blazer and it knocked the pictures off my walls of my house when his car was in the garage....
