Could someone explain what performance chips do and how they work? I'd like to be more informed on them.

Hi,
I'm no expert and I am sure they do a lot.
The one main thing they do is advance your timing to give you more jump off of the line.
I don't know how that affects the top of your rpm curve though.
Now you've give me something to google while I am at work.
