About a year ago i purchased 2 of the flowmaster 40 series delta flows..Im not to pleased with the sound..When the car is at idle you cant hear it at all and when i am driving you can only hear it when im goin fairly slow...i was lookin at buying the original 40 series mufflers to see if there was a difference in the sound but i figured that i would ask someone on here cuz you all know more about it than i do..ive heard alot about the u bend delete and all that but i was wanderin if i just put 2 new mufflers on if i would be satisified...all  input would be greatly appreciated

Have you done any other mods? I definately recommend the u-bend delete and high flow cat, as long as it's OBDII compatible. O2 sim' might be necessary otherwise. Cold Air Intake?

You could get an entire down pipe with u-bend delete and high flow cat of http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=551&catid=110

If you would get this set up it would increase the sound of your mufflers with no problem

then here is the o2 simulator
http://www.3800performance.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=O2-SIM&Category_Code=ES_H&Product_Count=17

I have this simulator on my car with no problems at all and i have a down pipe and high flow cat and u-bend delete and it made my exhaust louder and it sounds great now.

seeing as though you already have the cold air intake, you should get rid of the u-bend, put a highflow cat on, and get rid of the resonator, this will free up the exhaust lots, and then you will definetely notice a sound difference @ idle :)
