Ian, only the American Monte Carlo's get the extra 11 HP so that we can
beat the Canadian's in their Monte Carlo LT's : )

THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT when i saw it the first time i was happy to see it had the spoiler and 5 spoke wheels, yellow letter goodyears are coming soon
Worked for me too. I like the rims. Yellow letter goodyears would look great on your car.
Kinda like a race car with out any sponsors yet. Or sponsored by liquid paper:-)
If a driver was sponsored by liquid paper, would anybody notice?

Is the 1st and 2nd Gen. Monte disliked? Coz' I didn't see one 1st/2nd Generation Monte that won MOTM... what a pity
Nice 1st gen. Monte! Not too many first and second gen Montes anymore.
Your car looks great. All original, not hacked at by amature Chip Foose wanna be's too, from the looks of it. A lot of people would love to get their hands on your car.

350in³ (5.7l) with 245hp, and the beautiful sound of a V8. But don't we have 3 or 4 1st/2nd Gen. Montes in this board? knightfan26917, Chevy_Sean and (the fiance of) AwsomeSS. And I'm sure there are more, why the people don't nominate them Montes?

1978 Monte Carlo I call her " Nightmare" 388 SB chevy,700r4 trans was 305 SB Chevy and 350 turbo. Black outside and red interior.

well the monte i have now is a 6th gen. But hope to find yet another 3rd gen to do here shortly.
I really like them the best for some reason. it will be that or a 1st gen.

Please MIckey get a third generation Monte Carlo. We are a rare breed on this web sight. We need as many third gen cars as possible. We need to go out and recruit. LOL!! HAHAHAH! In my opinion the third gen. cars are the best looking cars of them all BUT! you know what they say about opinions. LOL!!

I have actually owned 6 or 8 of the 3rd gens. I really do like that style body the most. But what i have tried to find for years is a 78-79 T top car. with the floor shifter etc...
They are out there just not easy to find some times. Would like to find one to put to gether..
I think it would be a great project for me and the ruggies to get in to and then when they get older maby i will give it up to one of them .
