Looking to stay stock and get rid of the hideous wheels on my red 01' Monte. I like the wheels off the Dale Jr. edition and the chrome diamond-cut. Which should I go with?

I really like the dale jr wheels. I wanted to find a set for my car, but they are rediculously high priced new and I couldnt find any used. I would imagine that even used ones would be expensive.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about rims just yet. Little by little I'm building a Monte in my image. But, if I could do the Dale rims, there, no question about it. I'd get 'em!
I think I'm getting this plain vanilla Monte's Hood and Trunk striped. But, I don't know what color goes with Beige. Black?
How much do they want for them rims? Big bucks I bet! Lots more than a stripe.
Huge money; right? Can't do it. The old lady would skin me alive and feed me to the cats and dog. I have to get HER to want them! How am I going to do that?
Maybe once the Fog Lights are in and working I could tell her she needs to put her mark on the Monte too.
"Why don't you get some really SEXY LOOKING rims for OUR car, Honey?"
"Put some Dale Jr.'s on that Monte, out there, and get it looking like a real nice piece of jewelery. You like jewelery!"

Those Dale Jr.'s if you stay stock, those are very nice looking for a stock wheel. If not those than something other than stock would look best in my opinion.

There are several remanufacturers of factory wheels out there. One is near me. Lakeshore Wheel and Tire in Holland, MI.
They show the 17" wheel in chrome or painted, and I'm sure they could supply the painted ones in black, also, as the Jr and TS wheels are. $203 for the silver, no center caps. They have the 16's also for $167.

Try Ebay, or usedcarparts.com for used wheels

the only problem with stock wheels is that they are crazy money for what you get the lazer cuts look awesome but you can get a lot of wheel on the after market for the same price if not cheaper thats what always got me

$400 shipped with black lugs. I dunno, I think that's pretty good. I'm not a fan of anything really out there or I would have taken the aftermarket route.
I like the rims, they look good. Personally, for how much your probably going to spend on them, make sure you look around to see if theres something else your like thats aftermarket (if you want to get out of OEM styles)!
