I have a 2003 Monte SS. At acceleration it wistles like a hydraulic pump. im taking it in on wednesday but has anyone had this problem. also, does the monte have stainless exaust. thanks guys, i just have lots of questions

I have an 04 Monte that does the same thing. The whistling noise occurs until about 1000 RPM and then goes away. I have had it in to the dealer several times and they have not been able to resolve it. If the dealer fixes yours please let me know what they did.

If they found everything to be ok with the trans, check your PCV valve O-ring.
It's also been know to make the noise you both mention...

Yeah, they could not fix it. It doesnt bother me too much, but it sounds like a PCV valve related thing. I would love to know how to check this, but mabye ill take it to my buddy that does. Im happy to hear that its not just my car, but i feel bad for both of us
