Yeah, I would stick with the Impala idea....

Along with the turbo you have other things that have to be replaced/upgraded to make it all work properly on a 3800.

now taking donations for Mickeys ride to have a turbo kit on his shopping list. and also the intercooler kit.

Any one have 5000. for me to get the whole thing pluse shipping and handeling?

I take small unmarket bills and large ones to as long as they fit in the envolope to send to me .

Man that would be fun to do to some of the SRT-4's around here with the blow off valves that they rev and release all of the time here.
kind of funny what thier faces would be to see and hear a monte doing it. lol

the Paxton chargers are pretty good and im sure they have one to fit your car if you want to go S/C

as far as a turbo just do a serch for one for your motor in googel and it should give you some results. I have the 3800 in a 03 monte im not sure it is will work on yours or not most likly not. But it was threw ZZ preformance i belive then or it would ahve been threw PFYC.com

I'm really seriously thinking about turbo charging Monte, and if I hang out for just a couple of months I will be able to afford it no problem, the only thing I would be worried about is this: What all would you need to change internaly so as to not destroy the engine. New cams maybe? New pistons or valves? How about the trans-axle? Would you need to get stronger shafts or what? Adding 100 HP is quite a big jump compared to what we are doing now. Now I saw that turbo is capable of up to 40 PSI, but they were reporting 80-100 HP gains at 15-20 PSI. What does everyone think would be the max boost you would be able to cram into a 3800 without blowing gaskets or something.

Sorry... I was passing bum scoop. The turbo is pre-set at 9-10 PSI and they are reporting almost 100 HP gain, but is capable of up to 30 PSI. How crazy is that shit?

A few sites report that the 3800 engine is capable of producing 500 horses without getting into hte internals sure you would have to do injectors and probably a custom tune but no internals. BUT the transmision is said to only handle 300 Horses before you have to upgrade the internals on that!!!!

Those are 20's you say? I have 18's and I've always wondered how big I could go without it looking stupid, but those look pretty sweet man. I'd like to see more pics of the wheels.

does anyone know anything about turbo charging a 3400 sfi. this would be for my 2005 monte ls,  don't even ask why I didn't get a 3800 (that's still a sore spot). But i figure with a right sized turbo and a catback exhaust, maybe some new headers.. i should be able to gain as much horsepower as some of you 3800's.
