any monte carlo should take a 6 cyl mustang, an 8 cyl is fun to keep up with though :)

i've beat an 02 V6 crapstang with my 03 SS.  he had SLOWmaster exhaust put on that i think hurt his torque pretty badly.  he had pipes ran from the manifold back at 3.5" over the stock 2.5" to the tips to where for some stupid reason he had it narrowed down to 3" at that point.  I had him off the "line" (street race) and walked away with it.

The newer mustangs would be a bit of a challange because they have more horsepower and they are lighter. So a NA Monte might not beat a stock 05 or newer Mustang - they are very fast even before modding. (I know because I own one)
