I was wondering what is the difference between a Gen3 and Gen4 supercharger, besides $600?

the external housing is a little diff... not a big deal.... but the 4 gen blower outlet is much better then the 3rd gen. i have heard that a 4th gen is just as good as a ported 3rd gen!

Actually there is no 4th Gen. For what ever reason they skipped to GenV. The external housing looks different which will help you differentiate just at a glance. The GenIII had a bolt welded to the top to accept a nut to hold the plastic cover. The GenV doesn't have that. Here is an end all link that will show the difference: http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=3036177&cookieCheck=821705641 The rotors in the housing have a newer coated material that lasts longer and runs a closer tolerance. The internal housing is also smoother - not quite polished, but much closer. The outlet port is larger and smoother than the GenIII. Finally the LIM matches better. To swap to a GenV you need the lower intake as well, though some have been sucessful porting their own.
