Chris,

The only recalls I have heard about are weld issues with the airbag, child restraint clips and a steering linkage lubrication issue. If your just purchased yours, these recalls should have been taken care of.

As far as rumors, I hear there are longevity issues with the trans, but I have also heard the related problems may have been due to dirty trans fluid. Just make sure you have your trans on a maintenance schedule list. Mine just turned over 20K and I will more than likely have the trans filter fluid changed the next oil change.

I've had to replace my brake rotors. Have 75k miles on it. Bought my 2000ss new. Wonder if anyone out there has had luck with the 'green stuff' brake pads, or ceramic on oem style rotors?

I was driving home in a rain storm last night and my info center (right in front of the rearview mirroe) started leaking water! I called the dealer today and they told me that my sunroof has drain lines that are plugged. They will fix it at no cost-but i will find out where these lines are.

2004 supercharged ss. Comp.yellow.....Very fine ride. I traded in my 1999 Trans am ram air for it. My butt started getting sore and my arms were tired from the fighting of the ta. Dont get me wrong..i loved the TA but, this monte is SWEEEEEET. I'll post some pics later on.
