Hmmm no U-Bend on mine.... Oh that would be the new downpipe I fabricated.  :)

All the Gen 6's from 2000-2005 Had the U-Bend.

I looked at a few of the 06 and 07's at a dealership (salesguys were looking at me weird.=<  )  but I did see a bend there but not as bad.  I'm still of the mindframe to cut it and replace it with straight pipe and an O2 Bung.

An oxegen bong huh!  Healthier, safer and more legal than a beer bong or dope bong?

I'll stick with my NOS bong.

Hmm, I've been wanting to take my 3.9 against a 3.8sc for quite awhile, about 11 months or however long I've had this car.  Never been in a 3.8 but I don't know if it could keep up.  I know that the 3.9 certinaly has some nice power and it can beat my dad's '71 camaro ss.  Of course his 350 needs some work after sitting for about 10 years.  I'll see if I might be able to find a 3.8 before I get my flowmasters put on, but I'm doing that within a week or two so my chances of finding a 3.8 around here is pretty limited do to the smallness of the town.

While the 3.9 has 2 more horsepower than the 3.8, the 3.8 has 38 more torque foot pounds than the 3.9. It's not always about horsepower, its the torque that moves the car and I think that's what would give the 3.8 the edge.

I keep hoping that a 3.9 Owner, or a 3.8L Supercharged owner
post that they have lined up against each other.
Fire up your Monte's & hit the streets in search of a challenge : )

I've searched the web for the times or each car, but can not find a
review of a tested 3.9.
Members, please post, if you have.
What member is going to be the one to race, & post the results.
Thanks for reading....Keep searching, and post when you find.

you know what i think will be the deciding factor... the driver.  flooring it won't win this race, both cars cna break the tires free. it's oging to be a matter of who cna get there car up above about 25 mph the smoothest.  its also going to be a matter of timing.

I think the 3.8 would win. I'll be sure to find a 3.9 someplace and smoke em. :)

Hey Keegan,
No Smok'in a 3.9 L : )
Smoke this
I personally think a 3.8 SuperCharged would win : (
against a stock 3.9, but I think it would be a close/great 1/4 mile Race.
Keegan, I keep hoping that a member with a 3.8SC lines up with a 3.9L
and records the event, then post it to the MCF : )

Now, that would be Smok'in : )
Thanks for your posts & contribution : )

what is the weight of these 06-07 montes?  i know the 04-05 weight about 3450 lbs.  also, what is the stock tire width on the newer montes?  that could end up being the deciding factor you know....
