Looks like I'll be replacing my Aero-Turbines with FlowMasters, I just don't know if I should go with the 40 or 50 series mufflers. I want something that is relatively quiet, but I want a little tone from it, just not something that forces my stereo to increase the volume(auto level control) due to the loudness of the mufflers. Thanks in advance.

you know you can turn he auto controll off.if you need to even if you do replace the mfflers but in the mean time just turn it off

from what i know of the flow masters teh 40's series sound great but they are louder then the 50 i belive.
both sound good
I had open 50's on teh old monte carlo was a deep growel but when you romped on it they would scream!!
but i also had hooker headders on it to and no cat system or res. so those will all effect your final sound to

I'm not complaining about the auto level control, I think it's a good thing. It's the stupid exhaust that's too damn loud. I think im gonna go w/the 50 series

I know it's an option, I turned it on. If the exhuast is so loud, why would I turn it off?

wasent tryign to start a argument with you over this.

When i got mine they had already turned it on from the dealer ship.

Personally it drives me nuts with my radio going up and down all the time.

why would you turn it off? so it dont keep turnning our radio up while your driving till you can get quieter mufflers on it

So long as the loud mufflers are there, I need the auto level on to increase the sound output as the noise output increases, makes sense. Once I get the Flows, hopefully I can turn it off, I guess I'll find out soon enough.

LOL...... I turned my auto volume off long ago..

I have 40's on mine...... They are not too loud but in the same respect they are not that quiet either..

I am still getting my resonator replaced with either a race muffler of glass pack in the near future...

ahaha, mine was off until I got these loud mufflers put on. Now it's a necessity. So back to the Flows, I dunno if I want to put em on my hoo-ride now......
