Normally, I change my oil every 5000 mile with Mobile 1.

I've done some reading on some other sites and found some very interesting info on these oil wear sensors. At first, I thought this sensor was time/mileage driven, I was wrong. Reading through my owners manual they note to "Change engine oil and filter as indicated by the GM Oil Life System (or every 12 months, whichever occurs first). " In my manual it's on page 6-5. This system actually monitors engine revolutions and engine temperature, and not miles.
