greetings
I bought a 2000 ss new, and at 75k miles, had to replace the front and rear brake rotors. Anyone out there have good luck with aftermarket pads? I want some pads that won't wear out the rotors so fast, but don't want any squealing or noise. Was wodering about the 'green stuff' pads and ceramic. Any input would be appreciated

Hello Juve,

If your rotors lasted 75K your doing well!!!

The only way to curb rotor damage is to keep them cool. I.E. stay away from hard braking/riding the brakes.

If you have already replaced your rotors I've heard nothing but good things about "green stuff" but have not tried them yet. If you have not replaced your rotors PFYC has some pretty cool slotted rotors that will do a better job than stock staying cool under pressure.

Thanks
I have to do the front rotors in the next couple of weeks. The rears are new last week. Have a couple hundred miles before I hit 75k, so will do the fronts while I have it jacked up for the oil change. Will try some of the green stuff pads, but will keep the old ones in case I don't like em.
