I ran into a kid today at college that I used to race in my Honda.  He now
has a 05 Accord Coupe V-6 six speed.  He told me that he beat
a Monte SS Supercharged.  He showed me slips from the drag showing
13.5 1/4 miles @ 107 MPH
(He said he only had CAI/Exh/Prog)
He said I could drive it, but I had to leave to work : (
I plan to in the near future.

When I got back home I researched the net & this is the only test I could find
and it's a 2002 model Accord v6  6spd

Vehicle type: front-engine, front-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 2-door coupe
Price as tested: $28,360 (base price: $26,360)
Engine type: SOHC 24-valve V-6, aluminum block and heads, port fuel injection
Displacement: 183 cu in, 2997cc
Power (SAE net): 240 bhp @ 6250 rpm
Torque (SAE net): 212 lb-ft @ 5000 rpm
Transmission: 6-speed manual
Wheelbase: 105.1 in
Length/width/height: 187.6/71.3/55.7 in
Curb weight: 3299 lb
Zero to 60 mph: 5.9 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 15.2 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 31.1 sec
Street start, 5-60 mph: 6.3 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 14.5 sec @ 98 mph
Top speed (drag limited): 135 mph
Braking, 70-0 mph: 181 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft-dia skidpad: 0.82 g
EPA fuel economy, city driving: 20 mpg
C/D-observed fuel economy: 23 mpg
 Complete test below

Has any member ever driv'in an Accord with V6 (6)speed ?
I was going to race him, but I'll save my tires/gas/license : )

My car's on there. I'm currently #43. Hope to be a lot quicker with my new cam. Can't wait for this weekend to kick the tires and light the fires.
Hi Dustin, I watched your Awesome/Fast Monte on U-Tube.  I had to use my friend's
computer to see it...WoW nice : ),  Mine is to slow to watch vid's : (
Keep the MCF informed and post your future runs : )

If you know of any other sites that post 1/4 times...please post them on the MCF

If I ever get some time `off & have the money, I will go up to the Orlando track
and run/record mine : )  I can't wait to get valid times on a 3.9L.

Thanks again for sharing & Good Luck for MOTM.

You better believe that as soon as I come back from the track Friday Night, that I am going to post my new times. With my new cam and lifters I just put in, I should make or break 14.00. I can't wait.

My buddy Rob posted this on cardomain.  This is basically a Stage 1 upgrade for the Supercharged cars.

WizAired Cold Air Intake (7/2/2004)
Hypertech 180* Thermostat (8/3/2004)
Intense Modular Pulley System - 3.4" SC Pulley (8/20/2004)
Autolite 104 Spark Plugs (8/20/2004)
ZZP Red Poly Motor Mounts (8/27/2004)
DHP v1.0 PCM (8/27/2004)
3"DP, High-Flow Cat, U-Bend and Resonator removal (10/13/2004)
ZZP WP UD Pulley (10/29/2004)
These modifications noticeably livened the performance of the car. The one that gave the most feel at the seat of the pants was the pulley swap to the 3.4". The boost jumped from 6-7psi to about 9psi on the stock gauge that reads up to 10psi.
On the last racing day of the season, I took the Monte to the track, and made sure I prepped the car well by removing the spare tire and jack from the trunk, and pumping up the rear tire pressure to 44psi. On the stock tires, I was able to launch pretty well off the line, and managed 13.836@101.01mph.
A few days later, I went to the same dyno shop for consistency's sake, and managed a 234whp/257wtq pull. That's a 40whp gain over stock for the mods listed above!

Space - Here's a ton of info on the 05 Honda Accords

http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/spec_engines.aspx?year=2005&make=Honda&model=Accord&trimid=-1

A big key is they are between 3000 - 3250 lbs compared to the Monte being around 3400 - 3500.

I just got back from my local 1/8th mile track. It was my first time racing in a straight line. My best run was the last one. I had a nap at the light with a .226 R/T, 2.330 60 foot time and finshed with a 9.503@75.63 mph against a 92 5.0 GT. She is completly stock, so hopefully with a tuner I can get in the low 9's for an 1/8th mile track.

I've taken a couple Mustangs at the track. Almost had this one 5.0. I had him until he hit fourth and he slowly made his way past me. He got me by 1/2 a car length.
