I just put the Alpine iDA-X001 iPod head unit in my 2002 Monte Carlo SS. I had Car Concepts in SLC, UT intergrate the steering wheel controls (I can control the iPod, skip songs, volume, mute, mode, band). I also had them intergrate On-Star (works like factory, mutes the stereo during your onstar request and then turns it back on once you are done, it actually pauses the iPod and picks up where you left off). And I had them put in another module so that my door chimes and other warning chimes still worked. I love it. Next month I'm going to replace the stock speakers with Alpine Type R's. 6 1/2 in the door and 6x9's in the rear deck, although the stock speakers sound great with the new Alpine head unit.
