Hello Everyone,
Please mark your calendars.
When - Saturday, July 30th. Gates open at 8:00AM
Where - Woodburn dragstrip http://woodburndragstrip.com
Why - A gathering of CGP members from multiple States
Woodburn Dragstrip has invited us to share the day during their "Chevy Showdown, inlcuding Buick, Olds, and Pontiac".
Gates open at 8:00AM
Time Trials and Show starts at 9:00AM
Eliminations at 1:00PM
Car Show Awards at 2:00PM
Race car(driver admission included) - $35
Show car(driver admission included) - $20
General Adult admission - $10
Child 6-14 - $5
Under 6yrs - Free
Not only will we have a space in the pits, but we have been offered our own lane in the staging area. This will allow members to race against members only. We will be racing brackets, which will involve eliminations. If you've never raced brackets, you may want to consider this. It doesn't matter how fast your car is. In Bracket Racing the slowest car can take home the top award. Here is a link that gives a simple explanation of how bracket racing works, and the difference between Heads up, and Brackets.

There will be awards given, not only from the local CGP chapters and sponsors. Woodburn dragstrip has offered up awards also.
If you don't want to race your car, there will be awards given for other fields beside racing. They will be have a car show the same day....If you don't race your car, you may enter the show instead....Getting the opportunity to get an award from the sponsors of the show, also from the local CGP chapters.
If you would like to join us with no interest of showing, or racing, general admission is all you need to worry about. You will still be able to hang out with the group, and find out what a great bunch of people they are.
