THE BOARD IMAGE LINKING TUTORAL
This message board uses BBcode. is basically linking a pic off your site and showing it on the form.

if u want a pic like this:

You can also show .GIF, .JPG, .JPEG, .BMP Files with this Command

Right Click on the Pic u want to use, and click "COPY IMAGE LOCATION".

then use the tags "[image]" and "[/image]" or click the image button above and those tags will come up automatically.

Then just paste the pics link into the the middle of the tags like this [image]your pic link here[/image]

then when u post the message, your pics should show up.

YAHOO PHOTOS WILL NOT ALLOW PHOTO LINKING!!!

If you have no place to host your image, email me the pic to Boost762@comcast.net and i will put it up on my site.

Hey Todd, can we get a sticky or anouncement on this post to help our members?

Done, thanks for the useful info Boost!!

As Boost noted, Yahoo is lack luster in its image hosting abilities that I have found to be very un reliable.

Another free hosting site for pics that I often use is www.imageshack.us that has been very reliable. As a back up I some times use www.photobucket.com.

Boost, how much free space do ya have for pic hosting?

TVW

Image Shack is fairly easy,

Go to the site, hit the "Browse" button, select the file you want to upload for hosting, once the file directory shows up in the box next to the browse button click the button "Host It". If all went well it should take you to another page with a thumbnail of the pick with multiple links. I would suggest keeping a record of all the links in a word doc just so you have them for future use.

To post an image, select "image" from the new message box, copy and past the link between the ] &[ symbols:

Example:

"[image]post your link here[/image]"

There are some draw back to Image Shack, size limitation to 1024KB and the file formats must be one of the following: JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, TIF or SWF.

If you need to re-size a pic drag it into paint, right click on the pic and select "Stretch/Skew.

Use this code instead of the one your using.

"[img]yourlink[/img]"

I tested your pic in my profiles sig and it worked using the above code.

Please let me know if you continue to have problems

Thanks...The Vette is one of last years Indy 500 Parade Cars, LeMans Blue and Shale, the Laser Blue and Neutral was as close as I could come in the M/C color options. Haven't done much to the Monte yet, pin stripe over the wheel openings, added body side moldings and had a pair of SLP dual exhaust tips, from a 2k Trans Am I had, that fit really nice. I had to shorten the factory exhaust, about 3" for them to tuck up under the rear bumper. Next mod will probably be a cold air straight flow air intake, see if I can bump the 3800 up some. Any suggestioins on the best air intake? Don't know if photobucket will let you in or not. http://photobucket.com/albums/v367/kwc/
