Make sure that your Midas shop uses stainless pipe and nickel or stainless rod, or you're going to have a rusted out exhaust stsyem in no time. Most shops I've talked to use alumanized pipe and mild steel rod, not even mig or tig welded

Good point I never thought of that.

ZZP has a 3" downpipe with a magnaflow hi flow cat which is what I'm going to order. I plan on taking the Monte to my local Midas and have them replace the resonator with a section of exhaust pipe.

Let us know how that turns out.  I'd get my resonator removed if I knew it wouldn't create too much drone in the cabin.

x10, I went through about 3 different exhaust setups on my monte because of this.  When I do my swap's exhaust, its getting all stainless- that should last longer than the vehicle.

I'm in the same boat.  I like a quiet cabin for when I go cross country... 800+ miles.  The drone gets on your nerves quickly.

My SLP cat seems to quiet it down quite a bit compared to the RealTek one I had though.

No drone at all. I''''m 46 and the wife is 47 so if it was annoying she would pitch a fit (Believe me she would). I drive 55 miles 1 way and can listen to the radio low. When she is in the car I can listen to her talking at a normal level and still hear the radio. But outside from behind the car it sounds sweet! Sorry for the late response but I''''ve been tied up concentrating on the other mods.
