Since the number of potential people attending this event has increased to ~50, I have CHANGED the reservation from the 50-person-capacity Burnidge Shelter to the 75-person-capacity PAUL WOLFF SHELTER:

I've been considering some locations. Anyone have suggestions? I've thought about Beef Villa in S Elgin, but that parking lot would not be able to handle it even if a fourth of us went there. So, I'm open to suggestions, if people ARE interested in a cruise night.
*OVERNIGHT*
Anyone planning to stay overnight Friday or Saturday nights? If so, let me know ... I can check out local hotels/motels/camping areas....

I'm going to TRY to make this event. Probably about a 3 1/2 hr drive. I'll plan on it, anyways. Far enough in advance we should be able to plan for it. Sounds like a good turnout! Add me to the list!

AWESOME, Wayne :).
It does sound like a good turnout ... I just hope people actually DO come ;). Heh ... and, even with the 50 or so people planning on attending, that doesn't include many "regulars" that I see post from this area ... the same ones who always write about how cool it would be to get together. Well, now, no more "not going to happen" feelings :).

hey, knight...
if i make it out there i will likely need to spend a night out (if not two) so maybe if you could look into camping info anywhere from the site to the west? (cheapest campgrounds with showers, preferably) even if it's an hour or so away, that would be fine...

The Burnidge-Paul Wolff Forest Preserve has a camping area.

In fact, the camping area is right next to the pavilion at which we will be.
