ok this one should be a real challenge for my car. my dad is getting a 89 pontiac firebird formula. it has pretty much the same setup as my car, H.O 305, auto, but he has posi. he says he can beat my SS, to be honest i actually think he can lol. what do u think? im sure the firebird is a little lighter, and if we were to race from a dead stop, my car would spin taking off and his probably would spin less being posi, but i think i could take him from like 45 to 100 on the freeway

thats a tough one. depending on th econdition of both the vehicles it would be reletivel close i think. otherwise with the posi hed take you off the line

I had a 91 formula with 305 and 5 speed and it is no where near as fast as my intimidator is.

Dale would be Proud!
The Intimidator would smoke it!
While i loved that firebird it was defintly not the fastest car around....nor was it the slowest. which could be said of my monte... but givin the choice between an 89 firebird and your SS i would bet on your SS, if the bird was mostly stock but it is a tough call, coming from a firebird/Camaro fan I would wanna drive your SS home no matter what the race results were.

you should be abel to take him because the two car are pretty much the same weight and if you have the same motor all most the same trans i know for a fact you have better rear gears so should be some good frendly compttion for ya

i say try it..... mods and driver r the biggest things to bring a car ahead
