I have a 2002 Monte Carlo LS 3.4L. I have a low budget but would like some extra power. How much am I looking at to put in a super charger, or a turbo?

Honestly, if you're on a 'low budget' you can rule out any chance of doing a supercharger or turbocharger. I would probably reccomend taking that money and putting it in the bank, and wait until you get more money saved up before you start trying to get into bigger projects.
The bad thing is that hardcore modding is a snowball effect- say you get a turbo kit (or s/c)- you'll probably need new fuel injectors to handle the extra power. Then you'll need better tires to get traction, then your trans will break and you'll need to upgrade it- its a big snowball thing once you start looking into significantly upping power, then you'll snap an axle etc etc- all the weak spots start popping up real fast.
Unless you have ability to do custom fabrication yourself- figure a minimum of $3000 either way.
