06 monte rollin'' - 6/23/2008 9:01:26 PM    steelmalu43 Posts: 24 Joined: 6/5/2008 Status: offline Hello everyone, the names Scott i''m 23 live in South Carolina and im the proud new owner of a 2006 Monte Carlo 2lt. It''s got the 3.5 liter which i have read some negative reviews on but so far im happy. Just got 20% tint all away around which really sets the car off, up next is new rims probly 18''s nothing too crazy. As soon as i can find some performance parts those are on the to do list as well.  Post #: 1

From what I''ve seen, the 3.5 litre engine is a fairly good engine.  It''s certainly not going to set any land speed records in the Monte Carlo, which I think is most of the complaints that I''ve heard about it. A lot of people are unfairly expecting it to perform like an SS.  The 3.5 is not a performance car.  It''s certainly going to be a much better car at the gas pump though.
