Just picked my new old ''96 Monte Carlo LS in pewter about 4 days ago. Since then i have replaced both tierod ends, both ball joints, and i put in an aftermarket JVC headunit and XM satellite radio from my last car. All it needs now is tires and radiator hoses. It has 168000 miles on it and a few dents, scratches, and tears here and there much to be expected seeing is i am now the fourth owner. I will post pics here if someone can tell me how to resize pictures.

Welcome 96MonteCarloLS!

I like that pewter color.  I saw a Monte like Cully77''s a couple days ago.  The metallic really pops in the sun.  Good choice with your 5th gen.  They really are a very reliable car, and can last a very long time when taken care of.
