I have a 2000 monte carlo ss with over 100,000 miles on it. i use castrol gtx 10w 30 and i was wondering if it was ok to change to 10w40.

You shouldnt have a problem.But why do you want to use 10w40 anyway?Why did you change from 5w30?was your oil pressure low?The only reason I ask is that you lose alittle bit of fuel mileage and in this day and age every little bit helps.
