While doing a Vacuum Job on the Monte, today, I found a loose Passenger Side Seat Spring. It''s about 5-Inches long (maybe) and has a Plastic Mesh Surround.

Where do the Seat Springs hook-up underneath the Passenger Side Seat? What are the mounting points and what do I look for?

Thank you in advance.

i''d think all that stuff would be internal within the seat.  i didn''t think springs hooked to the bottom of the car or anything?  unless you mean a spring on the car... in whcih case do''nt know.

Beneath the seat. There are two Springs. I''m sure they have something to do with moving the seat forward when the Bar is lifted to adjust the Seat. My problem is just not knowing where the Springs attach. One of them is still attached. It looks to be longer than the one that became dislodged and fell off.

Somebody is going to have to know or take a look at their under-seating to get this right!

There should be at least one spring under the seat. This would be attached to the seat track. It''s not easy to adjust a seat with this pring missing. It helps you move the seat forward when you''re setting in the seat.

There should be no springs hanging out of the bottom of the seat. If so you probably have a broken seat spring.

One Spring is still attached. The one that fell off has hook-ends that get attached down-in there someplace. I just can''t figure-out exactly where. Maybe I''ll visit a Dealer''s Lot and take a peek under a seat of one of the cars they have for sale.

I was over at Honda watching the line for people getting rid of gas guxxlers, the other day.
They are bringing-in their BIG SUV''s and ordering: "Four cylinder automatics"
They take what the dealer has. They don''t even care about color or trim.
