i do''nt know what the deal is with these guys in turbocharged diesel trucks.. their ego''s write checks their vehicles can''t cash though.  i guess in order to drive one you have to have an ego the size of the truck.  nice way to show him up though....

I''ve taken a few turbo''d diesels myself. However, there are some out there that are nasty fast, I know there''s a Mega Cab (one of about 100 around here) that is insane, I can''t remember the specs on it but hp and torque are both well over 1k and this truck will smoke even a Z06 upto about 110-120, but the ''Vette has the better top end.
I myself raced some out of state F-350 a few weeks back. He was trying to get me to race him all the way through town but I refuse to race in my hometown, way to many cops and deer on the road. Anyway we pull up to the 4-way on the outside of town and he waited for me to line up and as soon as we caught traction we were off (it was raining and about 9pm) I had his front bumper at my rear and all of a sudden even with my windows up I heard his turbo spool up. Once that kicked in he pulled ahead by about half a car length, knowing that the two land soon became one I let off and let him take it. I know that as soon as I did that I couldn''t see, the rain plus the darkness was bad enough, but once he got ahead of me the black smoke blocked out everything in sight.

That was the only time I''ve ever been beaten by a Ford and only the second time by a truck, first time I didn''t realize the Duramax next to me wanted to race and by the time I got on it he was gone.

I love smoking the trucks in Laramie, all the WyoTech''ers think they''re pimp sh*t until a little 6 cylinder beats ''em then they refuse to acknowledge that it''s not a V8.

Way to make him eat his words though, I find joy in taking down the trash talkers.

I have a guy that works with me that has an 08 Silverado, Duramax with Allison Transmisson, when he first got it, not that fast at all, I blew his doors off.  He has the Bully Dog system for that truck and it''''s a whole different truck.  I went from blowing his doors off tell just beating him by a 3-4 lengths, and that''''s just because I get off the line better then him.  That is in just stage 2 also, he still has 2 more stages he could put it in

My brother friend has a 2002 duramax.  Only thing done is a PPE programer and some other little shit.  That thing GETS IT!!  Third gear, he mashes the gas and breaks the tires loose.  Be careful with those BIGGGG trucks out there, Powerstrokes make power too, so don''t get to ****y.
